Membership
Membership in C-TREAT will consist of MD or PhD investigators who have a research focus on digestive diseases as it relates to the theme of the Center.
Investigators that are enthusiastic about collaborating and interacting with diverse scientists from varied backgrounds with a common goal of understanding digestive diseases, can contribute to the intellectual environment of the Center, and have independent or striving for independent funding in digestive diseases as it relates to the theme of the Center. Membership may be dynamic - meaning new members that match the goals of the Center will be added and members who fail the goals of the Center may be removed after review by the Internal Advisory Committee.
To qualify as a Full Member of C-TREAT, an investigator must have:
- A digestive disease research focus that matches the Center's theme.
- Have independent research funding that relates to digestive diseases or direct or co-direct a Core of C-TREAT.
To qualify as an Associate Member, an investigator must have:
- A digestive disease research focus (and may include those commencing key collaborations with a digestive diseases researcher, or developing towards a digestive disease focus).
- Preferably obtain grant support beyond T32 or F32-like support that is generally not considered independent funding.
- Have evidence of gradual development towards research independence.
Full Members and Associate Members will have the following benefits:
- Access and reduced costs of Core services.
- Collaborative interaction with C-TREAT members to enhance research. Only Full Members will have the opportunity to comment or vote on any suggested changes made by the Internal Advisory Committee.
Also, we ask that you attach either your Curriculum Vitae or NIH Biographical Sketch. In the comment box, please provide us with a paragraph describing your research interests.
